Rings AI and Perplexity Partner to Bring Team Relationship Intelligence into Perplexity Computer

Partnership adds a team’s relationship and activity history to end-to-end workflows in Perplexity Computer research for investment, client coverage, business development, and partnerships teams

NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Rings AI and Perplexity today announced a partnership that makes the Rings connector available in Perplexity Computer. Joint customers can bring what their own team knows into their work on Computer: who knows whom, how strong those relationships are, what has happened across the firm, and where active opportunities stand.

Perplexity Computer plans and carries out multi-step work across tools and apps, from researching markets, companies, and people to prioritizing a target list, preparing for a board meeting, or creating a deliverable. Rings adds the context held across the team: existing relationships, past meetings and emails, notes, opportunities, and recommended introduction paths through colleagues and shared contacts. Teams use that context both to build new relationships and to manage the relationships they already have, including with clients, portfolio companies, investors, and partners.

A company’s relationship and activity history rarely lives in one system. CRM records capture only part of it. The rest is spread across individual inboxes, calendars, meeting notes, and the people who hold the relationships. Rings captures that activity automatically from email and calendar and brings it together into a shared relationship graph, a source of truth for the team’s relationship and activity history. PathPower® measures relationship strength across that graph. Rings makes this relationship intelligence available on a privacy-first basis, preserving each user’s existing permissions and giving firms controls over what activity is shared.

Examples of requests the connector supports, depending on the data and permissions in a user’s Rings account:

Building new relationships

Investment teams: “We’re looking at this company. Who on our team knows its founders, executives, or investors? How strong are those relationships, what interactions have we already had with the company, and what is the best path to an introduction?”

Business development and partnerships: “Prioritize these 20 target companies based on the strength of our relationships, show the best introduction path into each, and draft a note to the colleague who holds it.”

Managing existing relationships

Client coverage and account teams: “Review my priority accounts, summarize our recent activity with each, show which colleagues have the strongest relationships, and identify accounts with no recorded activity in the last 90 days.”

Investment teams: “Summarize our firm’s history with this portfolio company before the board meeting, including recent meetings and interactions across the team, then save my notes and create a follow-up task.”

“Perplexity Computer can tell a team a great deal about a company from the outside and help them act on that information,” said Martin Gedalin, co-founder and CEO of Rings AI. “Rings holds what the team knows from the inside: who has the relationship, how strong it is, and what has happened across the firm. Much of that never makes it into a CRM. We worked with Perplexity to bring the two together in one place.”

“A team’s relationships are one of its most valuable assets, but too often that knowledge stays with the people who hold them,” said Jeff Grimes, Head of Live Events Products at Perplexity.

“Rings helps the whole team put those relationships to work. Bringing that context into Computer means teams can go from identifying a promising company to finding a trusted introduction and drafting the request, informed by the relationships they’ve already built.”

“Rings helps us use the collective relationships of the bank to find best paths into and manage the relationships of our most important current and prospective business opportunities,” said Katya Kohen, Managing Director, Venture and Fund Banking at Stifel.
